County guide

Monmouthshire

Monmouthshire's council leisure service (MonLife) runs floodlit 3G pitches at Caldicot (new, June 2026) and Chepstow, with a new full-size 3G at Abergavenny due from September 2026. No prices are published, and block bookings follow a priority order, so casual adult groups should enquire early.

Grass pitches: how to book with the council

Many council grass pitches are allocated to clubs for the season; this is the council booking route, not live availability.

We couldn’t find a published way to book this council’s grass pitches. Many are run by town and community councils or leased to clubs. Know how? Tell us.

    Good to know

    • Booking email: it is written 'monbooking@' on the Caldicot page and 'monbookings@' on the Abergavenny page, so try both if one bounces.
    • Abergavenny: confirm the new pitch has opened before planning sessions.
