County guide

Merthyr Tydfil

Merthyr's best bet for a casual game is Aberfan's refurbished 7-a-side 3G, bookable online at 40 GBP on Halo's April 2026 list. Clubs wanting a full or half pitch for hourly hire should try Merthyr RFC's floodlit 4G.

Grass pitches: how to book with the council

Many council grass pitches are allocated to clubs for the season; this is the council booking route, not live availability.

We couldn’t find a published way to book this council’s grass pitches. Many are run by town and community councils or leased to clubs. Know how? Tell us.
