Grass pitches: how to book with the council
Many council grass pitches are allocated to clubs for the season; this is the council booking route, not live availability.
Check first
The council doesn’t publish full booking details. Contact them to check.
Byw'n Iach (sports fields it runs); Cyngor Gwynedd (play fields)
Byw'n Iach lists sports fields at Deiniolen, Brynrefail and Beach Road (Bangor) as hireable sites; Cyngor Gwynedd play fields have no booking route (enquiries 01766 771000).
Byw'n Iach: Deiniolen, Brynrefail, Beach Road Bangor. Council play fields with goal posts include King George V field (Llanllyfni), The Green (Bala), Sandilands (Tywyn), Penstyflog (Porthmadog).
Before you book
Byw'n Iach terms: block bookings 10-16 weeks; clubs need 5m GBP insurance; the hirer decides whether an off-site pitch is safe to play.
Bangor University: a second price page shows about £1 more for each Treborth rate, so confirm which is current. The postcode is the main campus, and the all-weather and grass rates do not name a site, so matching them to Brailsford is an inference.
Byw'n Iach Arfon: the website shows two postcodes (LL55 1DU and LL55 1HW), and the synthetic pitch may be the older pitch the new 3G replaced.
Plas Silyn, Plas Ffrancon and Glan Wnion: the centre pages give no hire route or contact, and Plas Ffrancon pages disagree on 3G or other all-weather.
Bala Town FC: the club booking page could not be read, and the phone number is a marketplace line, not the club.
