    Quick picks

Ebbw Vale Sports Centre, training pitch or cages (NP23 6GL).

The cheapest artificial option with a published price: £50.00 adult, about £3.60 each for 14 players. Phone 01495 369227 to book. Weak points: the unit, the cage size and the number of cages are not stated.

Ebbw Vale Sports Centre, main 3G.

Newly resurfaced in 2026. An hour costs £90.00 adult, about £6.40 each for 14 players. Plastic moulded studs only. Weak point: priced for the whole pitch, so expensive for a small group.

    Tredegar Sports Centre 3G (NP22 4BH).

Upgraded with the November 2025 project. Book through reception on 01495 369226. Weak points: no published price, and the pitch is shared with Tredegar Comprehensive during school hours.

    Abertillery Sports Centre 3G (NP13 1QD).

Phone reception on 01495 369225. Weak points: no published price or pitch booking route, and the surface age is unclear.

    Brynmawr Foundation School 3G (NP23 4XT).

Bookable as a full pitch or a half pitch on Sportskey. Weak points: requests are approved by the school, and the opening release speaks of club training and matches, so casual groups may not be accepted.

    Good to know

    • Floodlights: no source confirms floodlights at any of the four 3G pitches.
    • Tredegar and Abertillery: no prices are published. The Ebbw Vale prices may be the trust-wide rate, but the trust does not say so.
    • Brynmawr: the Sportskey slots did not load, so prices and free times were not seen.
    • Council grass list: the list of grounds is in a document that is not published as text.
